From Saturday 1/29/2022 to Saturday 2/12/2022, Pack of Parts kicks off the “Pack up your Parts Recycling Initiative”, an effort to reuse, recycle, and redistribute FRC parts in Western WA.
AN ORIGIN STORY
At one of our weekly evening meetings right before Kickoff 2022, as we cleaned our shop space in preparation for Build Season, we uncovered stacks of unused materials and bins full of parts we no longer used in every corner of our shop. We can’t be the only ones, we thought as we sorted through the pre-loved robot parts. What if we could give these parts to teams that need them? What if we asked other teams to do the same?
The Pack up your Parts Recycling Initiative is a pop-up FRC thrift store of sorts, operating out of our team’s shop space at Eastlake High School in Sammamish, WA. We are super excited to kick off this initiative, and hope your team joins us to, in the spirit of Gracious Professionalism, spread some love (and parts) this winter!
